Drone Programme
The PSiRA Drone Programme is a 6 to 8-week initiative by the authority aimed to transform the security industry through aerial surveillance and drone technology. It provides professional pilot training for 50 South African women to empower them in the security industry.
What it Offers?
1: Fully-funded training by “SACAA-accredited drone school“
2: 24 months of training that includes both online and practical drone flight instructions.
3: Provides Remote Pilot Aircraft System (RPAS) Certification
4: Training on the latest technologies for surveillance and patrolling.
Eligibility Criteria:
1: Applicants must be South African citizens and between the ages of 18 and 40
2: Applicants must have a matric degree with 50% score in english subject
3: Hold a valid PSiRA registration certificate
4: Must have good physical and mental health
How to Apply?
Prepare the below documents first and apply via given email
1: Completed Drone Programme application form.
2: Certified copy of ID card
3: Certified copy of matric certificate
4: Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
5: Valid PSiRA certificate
6: Completed medical declaration form.

Training Locations:
During the first week, there will be an online module followed by in-person practical drone training. The training location is Mpumalanga, specifically between Emalahleni (Witbank) and Balmoral. Transportation from key hub locations will be provided.

Last date to apply was “March 7, 2025”
(Next year, the program will open in January 2026, and the deadline will be in March 2025)
