PSiRA Bursary and YES Programme 2025–2026

PSiRA Bursary

PSiRA offers an External Study Bursary to support the educational advancement of employees and their children who are registered with PSiRA.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be registered in PSiRA with a good reputation (if employee)
  • Full-time student at DHET-accredited institution
  • Age between 19 and 35 years.
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Only legal children of a PSiRA employee are eligible (for employee’s children)

Funding Details:

  • For certificate studies at TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) institutions, you can receive up to 25000 per year, excluding VAT.
  • For an undergraduate diploma, you may qualify for 40000 per year, excluding VAT.

Documents Required:

  • Complete the official bursary application form 2025 (PDF)
  • Submit a certified ID card, PSiRA registration number, enrollment proof, matric certificate, and CV

PSiRA Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme 2025-2026

PSiRA’s Youth Employment Service Programme is a 12-month internship offered to the youth of South Africa across various departments, such as Supply Chain Management, Finance (e.g., debt collection), Information Technology, Communications, Law Enforcement Administration, Human Resource Management, and more.

Who can apply?

South African citizens aged 18-35, recent graduates who have never participated in a previous YES program, and who have studied at a DHET-accredited institution in a relevant field can apply.

Stipend offers at various qualification levels:

  • NQF Level 6: R5,000 per month
  • NQF Level 7: R6,000 per month
  • NQF Level 8: R7,000 per month.

Documents Required:

  • A certified copy of your ID, educational documents, and an application letter expressing your preference, along with a CV
  • Submit your application through the PSiRA recruitment portal or email it to the Senior Manager of Human Capital in Centurion.
